Targeted Advisory
Focused support aligned to readiness findings
Targeted Advisory is the second stage of the FASE framework. It provides proportionate, evidence-led support where clubs require focused guidance following the Readiness Review.

This stage is optional and designed to respond directly to identified needs rather than impose generic solutions.
What Targeted Advisory Is
Targeted Advisory provides structured support aligned to findings from the Readiness Review.

It focuses on specific governance, sustainability, or transparency issues identified during assessment, supporting clubs to strengthen practice, evidence, and internal processes in a controlled and proportionate way.

Advisory activity is scoped, time-bound, and aligned to the club’s context and capacity.

What Advisory Support May Address
Targeted Advisory may focus on areas such as:

-
governance structures and accountability
-
policy development and documentation
-
data availability and internal controls
-
reporting clarity and evidential strength

The scope of support is determined by readiness findings and agreed objectives.
Why Targeted Advisory Exists
Not all clubs are at the same stage of sustainability maturity.

Targeted Advisory exists to ensure clubs are not pushed prematurely into assurance or external scrutiny without adequate foundations in place.

It supports clubs in addressing priority gaps and risks before progressing further within the FASE framework.
What Clubs Receive
Targeted Advisory is designed to produce clear, practical outcomes.

Clubs receive:

-
focused guidance aligned to readiness findings
-
prioritised improvement actions
-
support in strengthening evidence and internal processes

All advisory support is contextual and proportionate to the club’s operating environment.
Position Within the Framework
Targeted Advisory sits between the Readiness Review and the Assurance Assessment.

It supports clubs that require additional preparation before independent evaluation, helping ensure that any progression is informed, credible, and appropriate.

Participation at this stage does not imply certification, endorsement, or regulatory approval.

Independence and Scope
Targeted Advisory support is delivered within the boundaries of the FASE framework.

FASE does not act as a regulator or decision-maker. Advisory activity supports understanding, preparation, and internal improvement rather than compliance determination.
